Qualifications:
As an experienced and well-qualified tax advisor with a broad accounting background, Will Merdy is equipped to handle almost any challenge you bring his way. After spending 15 years consulting to both local and international businesses, he started Oceade to provide more personalised tax solutions aligned to the needs of each client.
Working with large multi-nationals through to small businesses, Will helps his clients navigate the complexities of the Australian tax regime. He believes in regular update meetings to keep in touch with his clients’ evolving needs and to identify areas of concern, growth and opportunity. Will uses his analytical skills and business intelligence software to deliver practical advice, empowering clients to make informed decisions.
Will’s current work involves him directly in global tax structuring, global mobility support, country-by-country reporting, transfer pricing, and foreign hybrid mismatch issues. He is also adept at helping overseas businesses expand into Australia. As the Treasurer of the Australia Malaysia Business Council (NSW), he has helped several Malaysian businesses set up their operations here.
Originally from Paris, Will speaks fluent French. His experience spans various countries and a wide range of industries including IT consulting, construction, retail, venture capitalist structures and childcare operation.

With 12 years of experience in accounting practice, Nicoletta has worked with a diverse range of businesses, trusts and superannuation funds, evolving her skills from hands-on compliance to strategic advisory work.
In her earlier roles with mid-tier chartered accounting firms, Nicoletta built a solid background in tax compliance, financial reporting and local and international tax. In recent years, she has developed her international tax expertise working alongside Oceade Partner Will Merdy, equipping her to navigate complex regulations and provide valuable insights to clients.
Nicoletta sees herself as an information-gathering expert — helping her clients make confident decisions by delivering personalised, practical and forward-thinking solutions, ensuring that their needs are met with precision and care.
Nicoletta is passionate about leading with empathy, providing tailored advice, and supporting her clients. She has seen first-hand how the right guidance can make a lasting difference to growing businesses and people facing complex tax issues.
